Morning Star Youth Ministry -- For Teens and Young Adults
Saint Catherine of Sienna Parish has had a variety of youth groups throughout the years; and today we serve our youth and young adults through the Morning Star Youth Ministry.  The group has grown from its inception and continues to provide a venue for our teens and young adults to come together in a spiritual and safe setting.  Today under the guidance of Rev. Allan Arneaud we reach out to all youth and invite all to drop in and join us!

Youth-Teens between the ages of 12 thru 17 participate in our weekly program on Tuesday evenings at 7:30PM.  Teens gather in the 'Morning Star Youth Ministry Room' which is designed for their needs and encourages participation in a relaxed non-threating spiritual and safe atmosphere.  The room was dedicated to Mary, Mother of God also known in devotion as "Morning Star."

Teens share in faith discussions, fun and a variety of activities under the guidance and leadership of young adults.  Their moderator is Rev. Allan Arneaud.  Group members participate in group prayer, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, service projects, trips and more as well as sharing refreshments and talk.  They also partake in Diocese of Rockville Centre youth oriented programs!

Young Adults between the ages of 18 through 25, most of whom began as teens in our program but not a requirement for participation, meet weekly.  Our young adults often get together on Friday evenings for faith discussion, prayer, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, service projects such as assisting senior citizens at the Little Sisters of the Poor Residence and fun!  They have travelled to Washington, D.C. as young disciples of Christ for the March of Life.

Since 2011 many youth and young adults in our Morning Star Ministry have also participated in World Youth Days.  Representing our parish youth and young adults they have travelled to Spain, Rio De Janerio and Poland.

Contact Fr. Allan or the Parish Office at 352-0136 or email: if you are interested in participating, have questions or just drop in on a Tuesday to see what's happening!
